Doodle Tree

Another doodle from Doodle Arts and Letters with Joanne Sharpe. This was so so so much fun to create! The houses were inspired by something I pinned on Pinterest. ( lunardesigns)

HELLO!

Hi! IN case your forgot, my name is Lisa, and I love to scrapbook, create paper crafts, doodle and experiment with mixed media creations! I've been absent for quite some time now, and I am
READY TO CHANGE THAT!

To help me get some mojo back, I took an online class from the very talented Joanne Sharpe. She is such a talented artist and a GREAT teacher. Her blog is called Whimspirations, go visit and get lost in color, whimsy art and beautiful doodling!

The class I took this summer is called, Doodle Arts and Lettering. It is the second class I have taken from Joanne, and I want to take ALL of them!

To be totally honest--I haven't quite finished up all the lessons. But that is the beauty of her classes, it is like buying a virtual book. Once you have paid for the class-it is yours to access whenever you want!

Here is a little of what I have done!

The cover for one of the journals used in the class.

A "Second Grade Art Girl Dress".
Think about it, somewhere in our early childhood, we weren't afraid to draw, to make mistakes, or share our work! This is from Joanne, "I know she's in there somewhere. She's the most free spirited I ever was in my whole life...she has skills...she has spunk...she is playful, fearless, curious, excited and FREE...I am her!

Then she taught us how to draw this really cute dress. It was so fun to see everyone's creations. It would have made a beautiful and colorful class picture!

This next one was the "Paint Marker, Whimsey Doodle" lesson.
The background is painted acrylic, then we used paint markers over it.

"Painted Under-Over-Under"
OH---how I loved this technique, I know I will be using it a lot in my art journal.

I have a few more--that I need to take pictures of them. I'm also working on some scrapbook layouts! It has been a LONG time since I've done that!

Thanks for stopping here to look today--thanks for sticking with me!
Cheerio!!!

Doodle Time

Valentines was the inspiration for this one done in Febrary.
Gelly Roll pens gave me the vibrant colors.

This fun girl was inspired by Rachel Awes.
Visit her blog, All I Did Was Listen, it is full of bright colors and happiness!

And now, I'll leave you with a picture of my back porch today, April 15, 2013.

ughhhh--the winter that won't end!

A Zentangled Fool!

Doodling, zentangling and art journaling have been my escape the past few months.
This week I will post some of those above mentioned pieces I have finished.

I know I'm not the best at this, but I do enjoy the zentangle process!

Thanks for looking in today!

Brighten Up a Winter Day

It is a snowy, windy, cold day here.
So I felt the need to post something bright, sunny and wild!

I came up with a little Haiku.

The wind is blowing
The snow is swirling, twirling
It is winter time

Thanks for looking in.

This and That

OK--it has been awhile since I have posted anything artsy so I thought I would share a few things with you today.

First,  WIP--Work In Progress!
A mixed media piece on canvas. This is the beginning of the background color.

And this----- Ohhhhhh----I'm having funnnnn! Not showing the whole thing yet because it's not done. I couldn't wait to share a sneak peak though--look the Mod Podge glue is still wet!
Does anyone else love the smell of Mod Podge as much as me?

This doodled bird was done a few months ago but I never took his picture.
He makes me very happy when I look at him!
I got my doodle on by taking a class from Sandi Tygar from My Brave Soul.

That's it for now!
Thanks for looking in today.

I Doodle, Do You?

I took the funnest online class called, "I Doodle, Do You?" Sandi Tygar is the instructor and she guides you through 4 lessons to get you on your doodling way! My creative juices have opened, and the ideas are crowding my mind! All I want to do is doodle all day! HA--reminds me of the song; "....I don't want to work, I just wanna bang on my drum all day."
Anyway--here are some of the "mosaic" style doodles we did.

It was so much fun combining Sandi's doodles with the
lettering I learned from Joanne Sharps "Letter Love" class.

There are lots of changes happening in the Fowler household, and "follow your heart's desire" is a phrase that has been heavy on my mind. (I'll fill ya'll in on the changes soon)

Do you want to get your doodle juices going? Then go to My Brave Soul, Sandi's blog. This link is a post of the supplies for the class. Browse her blog and see some of the fabulous doodles Sandi has, then go to the top of her side bar to join the class.
