Grateful

I made this little gift for a few friends of mine; we get together for coffee most Friday mornings. I am so grateful for those few hours each week. I homeschool my son; on Fridays he goes to a "homeschool enrichment program", after dropping the kids off at "school", 3 of the moms and I go to coffee for some much needed girl time!

With the help of Close to My Heart's, Art Philosophy cartridge for the Cricut this was super easy and fast to make.
The -tag3- was cut at 5 1/2" twice. One of the tags was cut down to 2 3/4", then stamped on with The Present stamp set and Say it in Style stamp set (a must have stamp!!). Then the bottom and sides pf this small piece were glued to the full size tag, this created the pocket. The border is found on page 66 and the leaves are -leaf2- cut at 2" and stamped with the coordinating stamp set that comes with the Art Philosophy package. I have a small heart punch that I used and brown embroidery floss. The hearts are trimmed with dots from a gold gel pen and a marker was used for the faux stitching around the top of the tag.
Colors of cardstock and inks are Goldrush and Barn Red.

It just so happens that this week's Challenge on the Heart 2 Heart blog was to create something for someone you are grateful for. I had already created these and was planning on posting to my blog today, then I saw the challenge! Perfect timing--I'm certainly grateful for that too!

Added info: I left out one step in the instructions of the pocket tag. I wasn't sure if just gluing the shorter piece to the back piece would be a deep enough pocket for the instant coffee packets. So I cut 2 pieces of Goldrush cardstock 2 3/4" x 1/2" and scored it at 1/4" to fold it in half lengthwise. I then glued this to each side of the short piece with the fold on the edge, then glued it to the large piece--and trimmed around the bottom corners of the tag, this gives it just a tad more depth. Clear as mud? I should have taken pictures while doing it. I'd be happy to make another with pictures if needed. Just let me know!

Thanks for looking stopping by my blog! Have a blessed day.
